Low Carb Dinner Swap

11 Aug

I love carbs. I also know how important they are for energy and full, defined muscles. However, sometimes tossing our grain go-tos for higher fat options will help us regulate our blood sugar levels, increase our satiety and overall, change our body composition.

Below is a quick and delicious low-carb friendly meal:

Avocado Cheeseburger with Sweetened Cucumbers

  • 4 ounces 90% lean beef patty
  • 1 slice organic Havarti cheese
  • 1 ounce fresh avocado
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil mayo
  • 1 packet Stevia (for cucumber)

  • 3 grams fiber
  • 2 grams sugar

Sounds good. I have recently discovered the wonders of cauliflower. It is so versatile. You blitz it up and it can replace rice or couscous. Amazing.

Yes! Great point. I have heard of using a spirilizer for noodles too (but might be better with zucchini). Have you tried cauliflower mashed potatoes?

No I haven’t. Sounds interesting. I do have a spirilizer that I use for zucchini
